I understand the information contained within these appendices, including the health effects of lead exposure, permissible exposure limits, protective measures, and employee rights. I further acknowledge that I know how to access both Appendix A and Appendix B, and I understand who to contact if I need assistance or would like to obtain a copy of the standard.Hygiene & HousekeepingI Acknowledge & Understand:(Required) Areas where it is permissible to use lead ammunition– Range – Shooting Room – Gunsmith Testing Area – Quality Lab Testing Area – Lead ammo can’t be used in Recovery Area at this time – Any time anything seems different in these areas, notify supervisor immediatelyI Acknowledge & Understand: Hygiene– Nitrile Gloves will be available for anyone who handles lead or shoots with lead ammo – Dust Masks will be available for anyone who works in an area with potential for lead dust – Employees must use a lead wipe for hands & forearms prior to leaving area – Lead Off Wipes are safe to use on any exposed skin (face, neck, etc) – No food, drink, or use of cosmetics allowed in any area with potential for lead – Employees must wash hands with lead soap prior to entering the break room – Employees should not eat, drink, smoke or apply cosmetics without washing hands with lead soapI Acknowledge & Understand: Housekeeping– After shooting with lead ammo, the surface area must be wiped down with a lead wipe – Range will be cleaned each morning by Facilities staff – All other areas with potential for lead exposure must be cleaned at the end of the day – Supervisor will assign the cleaning and ensure it is done daily – Facilities staff will deep clean each of these areas on a weekly basis – A sign-off sheet will be in each area for employee to sign when cleaning is complete – If you empty a container of lead wipes, lead soap, gloves, or masks, notify your supervisor as soon as possible – Supervisor will report the outage to the facilities staff
